Our Purpose
The Latinx Cultural Association (LCA) was created to establish an inclusive community and a safe space for individuals to learn, share, and experience Latinx culture and customs. One of the primary goals of LCA is to embrace diversity on campus, welcoming members from all backgrounds and identities.

It is important to note that LCA maintains its focus as a "social" club. While it may engage in educational and cultural activities, its primary purpose is to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for members to unite, build friendships, and celebrate Latinx culture. By maintaining its emphasis on social interactions, LCA creates a space where individuals can feel comfortable expressing themselves, sharing their stories, and fostering a sense of belonging. The organization ensures its members have a place to relax, socialize, and connect while providing opportunities for personal growth and cultural enrichment. This focus allows LCA to fulfill its mission of creating an inclusive and welcoming community that celebrates Latinx culture while providing a supportive and engaging space for its members.

Motto
The Latinx Cultural Association (LCA) chose the motto "Conservando Culturas" to reflect its core values and mission. This motto encapsulates the organization's commitment to preserving, honoring, and celebrating the diverse cultural heritage of Latinx communities.

"Conserving Cultures" represents LCA's dedication to ensuring that the rich traditions, customs, languages, art forms, and histories of Latinx cultures are acknowledged and actively safeguarded and passed on to future generations. Members are encouraged to embrace their roots, share their stories, and collaborate with others to create a more inclusive and culturally vibrant campus community.
